Edward Martinez serves as a Senior Risk Account Engineer at Ryan Specialty Renewables. Ed has nearly 15 years of experience in power generation, specializing in simple cycle peaker plants and combined cycle power plants. In his previous role, he conducted inspections, performed root cause analysis, interpreted test results, and maintained power plant systems and equipment, and annually served as an Outage Supervisor managing the commissioning, repair, and testing of essential power generation equipment.
Since joining Ryan Specialty Renewables in May 2023, Ed has built over three years of experience as a Senior Risk Account Engineer, leveraging his background in plant supervisory controls, battery systems, high voltage electrical systems, fire systems, and data-driven maintenance planning to develop effective hazard mitigation strategies for clients. He has been instrumental in the creation of white papers on topics such as fuel cells, EVCS charging technologies, and PV solar farm vegetation management, and has conducted site surveys and account reviews for operational and construction accounts involving solar, battery energy storage, onshore wind, and HVDC technologies. Ed develops Probable Maximum Loss (PML) analyses to help property owners, lenders, and investors identify potential losses and formulate effective risk mitigation strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, is fluent in English and Spanish, and is OSHA 30-Hour and GWO Onshore BST certified.
